أكد د.نصر السيد مساعد وزير الصحة للشئون الوقائية عضو غرفة العمليات المركزية بمركز المعلومات ودعم اتخاذ القرار، أن وجود حالتين مقاومة لعقار التاميفلو ليس معناه عدم فعالية العقار، مشيرا إلى أن التاميفلو أثبت نجاحا فائقا فى علاج المرض على مستوى العالم، حيث أكدت معظم التصريحات الدولية عقب اكتشاف هاتين الحالتين أن ذلك أمر وارد وأن العقار مازال مؤثرا، جاء ذلك ردا عن ما أثير حول عدم فعالية عقار التاميفلو فى ظل اكتشاف حالتين مقاومة للعقار.

وحول التساؤلات عما إذا كان التطعيم ضد الأنفلونزا الموسمية قد يقى من الإصابة بالمرض، نفت وزارة الصحة ذلك مؤكدة أن التطعيم ضد الأنفلونزا الموسمية لا يقى من خطر الإصابة بمرض أنفلونزا AlH1N1.

وعن معامل وزارة الصحة ومدى كفاءتها، أكدت الوزارة أن هناك ثلاثة معامل مركزية فى القاهرة والإسكندرية والمنيا تقوم بتحليل العينات والتأكد من مدى الإصابة بالمرض، وأثبتت معامل الإسكندرية كفاءتها فى كشف وإثبات الحالات الإيجابية، من خلال اكتشاف أكثر من حالة، فى حين لم تكتشف معامل المنيا حتى الآن أى حالات، وإن كانت كفاءتها لن تقل عن المعامل الموجودة بالقاهرة والإسكندرية، وأكدت الوزارة أنه جارٍ الانتهاء من إعداد وتجهيز 3 معامل جديدة فى كل من شرم الشيخ والغربية وأسوان ليضاف إلى الثلاثة معامل السابقة مع احتمالية رفع العدد خلال الفترة القادمة إلى 10 معامل.

وتؤكد وزارة الصحة أنه لا توجد ضرورة حتى الآن لاستخدام القناع الواقى بين أفراد المجتمع، فمعظم الحالات قادمة إلى مصر من الخارج، ومازال الوضع على المستوى الداخلى مطمئنا. Information Center confirms the effectiveness of "Tamiflu" with the swine flu
