Contract to construct the first manufacturer of the vaccine of avian influenza in Egypt

Minister of Health and Population of Egypt Imad Eddin Ahmed Radi saw on Sunday signed a contract for "turnkey" to start the implementation of the establishment of the first factory for avian influenza vaccines in the Sixth of October City.
The agency said the Middle East News that the contract was between the holding company for vital vaccines and vaccines "VACSERA" The company specialized in the construction and equipping of medicines and vaccines modern instruments and technology factories Indian Vapetk.
She added that a statement to the Egyptian Ministry of Health said it would be the completion of the construction and equipping of the plant within 18 months, to produce four hundred million doses annually the first vaccine of avian influenza stage "HTML 5 to 1" as a prelude to increase it to eight hundred million doses per year, in addition to the production of 18 vaccine last special birds, The total cost of 19 million dollars.
The agency said the project is funded by development partners Hassan loan from the Islamic Development Bank $ 15 million, and good loan from the Saudi Fund for funding worth $ 4.5 million, in order to contribute to the eradication of avian influenza.
