Died on Saturday, new cases of bird flu, a province of the lake to a man named Hussein Kamel Mohamed, 32,''''Agent Company NUBAREYA agricultural crops, and a resident of the village of Ahmad Shawky NUBAREYA.

Dr. Yousry Congratulations and Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health County lake that the situation - who died at Alexandria Fever Hospital - was suffering from high sudden temperature and pain in bones, sore throat, runny nose, cough and pain in muscles and strain and the appearance of the symptoms are similar to symptoms of the disease since the day December 13, but the patient's Palace in the right of himself and did not go to the hospital after feeling the emergence of the disease, but he went to the pharmacy, which gave him some painkillers and drugs only.

He called Congratulations citizens in Behera governorate to be more aware of the seriousness of the disease and symptoms of transmission, especially in this time of year, which carries with it the risk of disease emerging influenza which requires that heads the citizen when he felt any symptoms of the disease it to the hospital, fever or chest to maintain and having treatment'' free''and without any charge to the patient and Mkhaltin if it was proven positive sample.

وصرح الدكتور يسرى مبروك وكيل وزارة الصحة بمحافظة البحيرة بأن الحالة -التى توفيت بمستشفى الحميات بالإسكندرية- كانت مصابة بارتفاع مفاجىء فى درجة الحرارة وألم فى العظام واحتقان فى الحلق ورشح فى الأنف وسعال وألم فى العضلات وإجهاد شديد وظهور أعراض تتشابه مع أعراض المرض عليه وذلك منذ يوم 13 ديسمبر الماضى , إلا أن المريض قصر فى حق نفسه ولم يتوجه إلى المستشفى بعد إحساسه بظهور المرض عليه ولكنه توجه إلى الصيدليات التى أعطته بعض المسكنات والأدوية فقط.​

كانت وزارة الصحة قد اعلنت في وقت سابق السبت عن وفاة حالة جديدة بأنفلونزا الطيور لطفلة تبلغ من العمر 11 عاما من محافظة الأقصر.وأشار شاهين إلى أن إجمالى عدد حالات الإصابة بالمرض فى مصر بلغ 115 حالة وعدد الوفيات 39 منذ بداية ظهور المرض فى عام 2008 حتى الأن.​

The Ministry of Health had announced earlier Saturday that the death of a new case of bird flu, a child at the age of 11 years from the province of Luxor. Shaheen noted that the total number of cases of the disease in Egypt amounted to 115 and the number of deaths 39 since the onset of the disease in 2008 to now.

Thank you Treyfish. The situation is very confusing because the articles mention "bird flu emerging" or "disease emerging influenza" which is a reference to swine flu.

2 of the articles have pictures of poultry with the articles.

These are media that we have used for years. Never any problem. Now it appears that there are mixed messages.

this is from the ministry of health sites. it's used for reporting the swine flu H1N1 (note the use of avian flu on the pages) which has been stated is 'emerging as a new seasonal virus', based on who recommendations.

It would or could be beneficial to remove or eliminate the use of avian flu as a reference.what would be best or helpful, just to report all cases by use of accept common international numbering H1N1,H5N1 and H3N2

this could be a large part of what has been driving some of the confusion.

the Arabic indicates its new/emerging,past practice was to transport almost all of those infected by h5n1 over the last two flu seasons to Cairo for treatment within Abbasyia Hospital. I really doubt if this practice has changed.

I found an H5N1 case that was treated at Alexandria Fever Hospital. From Saidr:

• Date of report: 4 March 2009
  Governorate: Alexandria
• District: Amira
• Event summary: Boy, age 2½, began experiencing symptoms March 3. The same day, he was admitted to Alexandria Fever Hospital and received Tamiflu. Infection with avian influenza was confirmed March 4. His family reported a history of close contact with dead and sick poultry. The child was in a good general condition March 4. The MOHP reported this was the 57th case of highly pathogenic avian influenza in Egypt.

yesterday morning early i was actually working on posting a lengthy article from egynews.net which was four minutes old when i first read it. it was about four cases of bird flu from the lake which were really from 2006 based on the date in the article. i looked then for any thing i could find thinking maybe they just failed to change the date.

it spoke about a wedding party where they killed a bunch of live poultry of all types with three becoming sick all from the same family, it mentioned another person but i think they were from another area.
