أصدر أمين أباظة، وزير الزراعة واستصلاح الأراضى، قرارا حمل الرقم 941 لسنة 2009 بشأن اللائحة التنفيذية للقانون رقم 70 لسنة 2009 الخاص بتنظيم تداول أو بيع الطيور والدواجن الحية.
وقال حامد سماحة، رئيس الهيئة العامة للخدمات البيطرية، أنه فى إطار خطة الدولة ووزارة الزراعة للسيطرة على مرض أنفلونزا الطيور فقد قامت الهيئة بدراسة المصطلحات التى قدمتها المنظمات الدولية بخصوص التحصين ضد مرض أنفلونزا الطيور، وانتهت إلى وقف التحصين بالمحافظات المدنية "القاهرة والجيزة"، والمحافظات التى لم تحدث بها إصابات من أى نوع بشرية أو بيطرية كشمال سيناء وجنوب سيناء والبحر الأحمر والوادى الجديد، والمحافظات التى ظهرت بها بؤر قليلة ويمكن التحكم فى المرض بها من خلال رصد حركة الطيور كبورسعيد والإسماعيلية ومطروح.
وأشار سماحة إلى أن خطة التحصين الجديدة للطيور المنزلية ستوجه عملية التحصين حول القرية المصابة فقط " دواجن أو إصابة بشرية" وستكون فى محافظات الشرقية والإسكندرية والبحيرة والدقهلية وكفر الشيخ وحلوان وبنى سويف وأسيوط وسوهاج وأسوان وتضمنت الخطة أن يتم إجراء عملية تحصين شاملة لمحافظات القليوبية والمنوفية والغربية ودمياط والسويس والفيوم والمنيا و6 أكتوبر والأقصر وقنا على أن تتم عملية التحصين من خلال جرعة أولى وقرعة منشطة بعد شهر من الجرعة الأولى، على أن تكون هذه الجرعات للبط و6 أشهر للدواجن حتى يتم السيطرة على المرض.
وفيما يخص تحصين المزارع قال سماحة إنه يتم تحت الإشراف البيطرى، حيث سيتم تحصين مزارع التسمين عمر 10 أيام وأن يتم تحصين جميع مزارع البط بجرعة أولى ثم جرعة منشطة بعد أربعة أسابيع ثم كل 4 شهور ، على أن يتم قياس المستوى المناعى للتحصين من خلال لجان الهيئة لسحب عينات من هذه المزارع
