Vaccinating 38,650 birds against epidemics to preserve poultry wealth in Kafr El-Sheikh

Major General Gamal Nour El-Din, Governor of Kafr El-Sheikh , confirmed that the Veterinary Medicine Directorate’s campaigns were able to vaccinate 38,650 various birds against epidemic diseases, within the framework of combating bird flu. 18 samples of birds were withdrawn from 9 homes, and a number of markets and poultry shops were disinfected. Also, 110 pre-sale samples were withdrawn from 10 poultry farms, with a total of 59,000 birds, and sent to the reference laboratory for veterinary examination.
The Governor of Kafr El-Sheikh added that 28 permits for transporting live birds were granted, as part of the state’s efforts to preserve poultry wealth and the public health of citizens, confirming the availability of the 3-day fever vaccine in its departments and veterinary units, and livestock vaccination will begin during the next week.
