أعلن الدكتور أحمد عبد الحميد، وكيل مديرية الصحة والمتحدث، الرسمى باسم محافظة أسيوط، عن وفاة حالتين بأنفلونزا الخنازير ليصبح العدد النهائى للوفيات حتى الآن 7 حالات وهم (خ. ف. ف) (37 عاما) مركز القوصية دخل المستشفى تاريخ 29 ديسمبر الماضى وتأخرت فى تلقى الجرعة والعلاج والحالة الثانية (ه-س-ع) (50 عاما) ربة منزل دخلت مستشفى أسيوط الجامعى بتاريخ 4 يناير، وكانت تعانى من أعراض المرض منذ 25 ديسمبر الماضى. وأضاف عبد الحميد أنه كلما تقدم الوقت فى العلاج كانت الإصابة أقل ويجب على الأهالى أن يقبلوا على إجراء الفحوصات والتحاليل بمجرد ظهور أعراض المرض قبل انتشار الفيروس. Abdul Hamid added that as time progresses in treatment, the injury must be less on the people to accept the testing and analysis as soon as the symptoms of the disease before the spread of the virus.
