All of the patients had history of exposure to live poultry a few days prior to illness:

MOH 18th case: 2. a 20-year-old woman from El Ghaniem District, Asyiut Governorate. Onset of illness was on 10 December 2014, died on 17 December 2014. MOH 22nd case: 3. a 5-year-old boy from Nasr-El Noba District, Aswan Governorate. Onset of illness was on 12 December 2014, died on the same day. The patient had history of exposure to sick and dead backyard poultry few days prior to illness. ? MOH 19th case: 4. a 3-year-old girl from Samaloot District, Menia Governorate. Onset of illness was on 13 December 2014.
