A fire broke out in a poultry farm in the village of Fisha Al-Kubra, which belongs to the Menouf district in Menoufia, resulting in the death of about 2,500 chicks, without any human injuries.
Report of a fire at a poultry farm
Major General Alaa El-Hager, the Director of Security for Menoufia Governorate, received a report from the head of the Menouf Police Station stating that a fire had broken out at a poultry farm within the village limits. A security force, supported by civil defense vehicles, immediately went to the scene to control the fire and prevent it from spreading to neighboring areas.
Upon investigation, it was found that the fire broke out inside the farm as a result of an electrical short circuit caused by random connections, which led to parts of the farm burning and the death of large numbers of chicks. The Civil Protection Forces were able to control and extinguish the fire completely, without any injuries being recorded among the workers or residents.
The security services filed a report on the incident, and the investigating authorities were notified to begin the necessary investigations, determine the extent of compliance with safety requirements inside the farms, and take legal action regarding the incident. Farm owners were also warned of the need to comply with electrical safety standards, in order to avoid the recurrence of such incidents.
