Civil protection forces in Ismailia Governorate managed on Friday to control a fire that broke out inside a poultry farm in the village of Al-Manaif, affiliated with Abu Suweir Center, after the fire resulted in the death of about 2,000 chickens, while the forces succeeded in preventing the flames from spreading to neighboring farms and facilities.
The Civil Protection Operations Room in Ismailia received a report of a fire breaking out inside a poultry farm in the Bridge 4 area of Al-Manaif village. Firefighting forces, supported by 3 vehicles, led by Colonel Mohamed Mohi, Director of the Civil Protection Department, immediately moved to the scene and quickly dealt with the fire and brought it under control before the situation worsened.
The initial inspection showed that the fire broke out, according to preliminary indications, as a result of an electrical short circuit in the connections inside the farm, which led to the rapid spread of the fire, resulting in the death of approximately 2,000 chickens, while no injuries or human losses were recorded.
In the same context, the security services moved to the location of the report and imposed a security cordon to secure the perimeter of the fire, while simultaneously carrying out cooling operations to ensure that the fire would not reignite.
The relevant authorities are conducting the necessary investigations to determine the final causes of the fire, and are continuing the technical inspection and assessment of the damages and losses incurred by the poultry farm.
