أكد د.عبد الرحمن شاهين المتحدث الرسمى باسم وزارة الصحة، تشكيل لجنة مكونة من 29 ألفاً من مقدمى الخدمة الصحية لمتابعة حالة التلاميذ والطلاب فى حالة إغلاق المدارس والجامعات، لافتاً إلى أن ارتفاع معدل الإصابة بأنفلونزا الخنازير بالمدارس ما زال لا يشكل أى خطورة وفى مرحلته العادية، مؤكداً أن قرار تعليق الدراسة مطروح، لكن اتخاذه لن يتم إلا بالتنسيق مع وزارتى الصحة والتعليم ومجلس الوزراء.
جاء هذا تعليقاً على الزيادة المتتالية فى عدد إصابات أنفلونزا الخنازير فى المدارس والتى ارتفعت على مدار الأيام الثلاثة الماضية ليصل إجمالى عدد الإصابات فى المدارس إلى 287 حالة إصابة مؤكدة.
لافتاً إلى أنه فى حالة إغلاق المدارس بسبب أنفلونزا الخنازير سيتم تشكيل لجنة كبرى مكونة من 8 آلاف فريق طبى، بالإضافة إلى 21 ألف طبيب وزائرة صحية، لمتابعة أحوال التلاميذ فى المنازل.
وقال إنه تم إعداد خطة تقوم على تحديد مستشفى أو أكثر فى كل منطقة لمواجهة أى احتمال لانتشار الفيروس فى الشتاء، مع التركيز على المناطق المختلفة فى القاهرة، باعتبارها الأكبر فى نسب الإصابة بين المحافظات.
مستنداً على توصيف وزير الصحة لمرض أنفلونزا الخنازير بأنه مرض مدن يصيب سن الدراسة فى الفترة من 4 إلى 24 سنة.
