[FONT=&quot] The Directorate of Veterinary Medicine, Minya Governorate, announced the start of a campaign to examine and clean up 4 centers in the north of the province, against avian influenza, following the emergence of two new outbreaks of avian influenza in the village of Atniyeh of the center of Magaghah in the north of Minya; to become 3 positive foci in Menia since the beginning of the season and winter.
Dr. Hassan Khalil, Director of Preventive Medicine at the Directorate, said that since the emergence of the two positive foci of the avian flu virus in the village of Wataniya, and the work is being done on clearing the entire area and centers north of Minya governorate, namely ?Magaghah, Adwa, Bani Mazar, Matai and Samalut? .
The ?Khalil?, that the samples were withdrawn from people who contact the infected birds, and the samples proved negative to the disease, pointing out that so far no human cases of bird flu virus.
