أسفرت حملات مكافحة مرض أنفلونزا الطيور بمحافظة المنوفية عن إعدام أعداد كبيرة من الطيور، وتحررت محاضر لعدد من الباعة الجائلين ولمحلات بيع الطيور الحية ولمزارع تعمل بدون ترخيص بالمخالفة لاشتراطات اللجنة العليا لمكافحة أنفلونزا الطيور، تحت إشراف مباشر من المهندس سامى عمارة محافظ المنوفية الذى شدد على عدم التهاون مع أى مخالفة.
وأوضح د. أحمد غنيم مدير الطب البيطرى بالمنوفية، بأنه تم خلال اليومين الماضيين ضبط عدد 49 بائعا جائلا، وإعدام ما بحوزتهم من طيور 1293 طائرا، كما تم إزالة عدد 32 عشة بالمدن، وإعدام ما بها من طيور وعددها 275 طائرا، كما تم تحرير عدد 18 محضرا لمحل بيع طيور حية و8 مزارع غير مرخصة بمراكز بركة السبع وشبين الكوم وأشمون.
