Ecuador, free of pandemic influenza A (H1N1)

QUITO .- The influenza A (H1N1) has entered a process of post-pandemic, said Health Minister, David Chiriboga, who indicated that in the country and there have been no cases of this virus over the past three months.
At the end of the week from 8 to 14 August and according to the qualitative indicators of the World Health Organization (WHO) and Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) found that in Ecuador there is no pandemic activity by influenza A H1N1.
"Since there are no confirmed cases and no evidence of unusual activities in respiratory diseases," Chiriboga said to media.
Minister said, since June, the trend in the country has been falling and demand in health care has not produced higher than normal levels.
However, the restriction of sales of influenza has not been raised at national level. This Thursday will meet the National Committee on Influenza (CNI) to discuss measures restricting the marketing of medicines for respiratory diseases and then proceed to give an official announcement.
Once the analysis by the CNI, a report was sent to all doctors and pharmacists in the country on the final decision.
