Ebola Blocks Liberia Spud

There are a lot of reasons to delay the spud of a well, but one that is rarely, if ever heard is the Ebola virus. According to reports out of Liberia and a number of blogs on the internet ExxonMobil did just that, delayed the spud of its first well offshore the country due to a deadly outbreak of the virus. ExxonMobil?s partner, Canadian Overseas Petroleum Ltd. (COPL) said the recent outbreak, which has killed hundreds of people in three countries, had left a shortage of expatriates available to work in Liberia...
