STILL MYSTERIOUS: Residents of Gading, Tanon District, Sragen, choose to sell live chickens. (AHMAD KHAIRUDIN/RADAR SOLO)

RADARSOLO.ID – Dozens of native chickens belonging to residents of Karang Hamlet, Gading Village, Tanon District died suddenly. It is feared that this incident is getting wider. Residents are also concerned that there is a new virus that can be transmitted to humans. Moreover, recently resurfaced the news of the bird flu virus.

According to Parno, 35, a resident of Dusun Karang, Desa Gading, Tanon, the incident of chickens suddenly dying in the Dusun Karang area took place in the last week. The incident is evenly felt by residents who raise free-range chickens. Usually in one cage 10-20 chickens die.

"Events are common here. No strange symptoms before. In the afternoon the condition of the chicken is still alive. But in the morning he suddenly died in the cage," said Parno.
Other residents, Kasno added, this situation is quite worrying. Because they do not know the disease that attacks dozens of these chickens.

“Residents are clearly worried. I'm afraid that the disease or virus that attacks the chicken can be transmitted to humans," he said.

Because many free-range chickens have died, residents are starting to get worried. They are forced to sell the live chickens at low prices to the market. They don't want to lose money because they are afraid that the chickens will die suddenly so they can't be sold.

Village Head (Kades) Gading Puryanto said there had been no official report about the dead chickens. However, he did get information from residents, quite a lot of free-range chickens had died in the last few days.

“The dead were chickens kept by residents. In Gading Village, chickens that are specially kept in cages are not infected," he said Wednesday (8/3).

On the other hand, the Head of Animal Health Division (Kabid) for the Food Security, Agriculture and Fisheries Service of Sragen Regency, drh. Toto Sukarno said he already had the information. The agency has dispatched a team to observe the condition of the field and record the dead chickens.

"We first checked the field. Whether the disease is dangerous or not for humans. We have instructed officers to go to Gading Village to examine the dead chickens," he explained. (din/bun/dam) :tiphat:https://radarsolo.jawapos.com/daera...ti-masal-di-desa-gading-warga-waswas-menular/
