Earth Observatory site out of service due to US govt shutdown

As some of you may know, the U.S. government is facing a shutdown due
to the end of funding. As a result, the Earth Observatory site will be
out of service for the duration of that shutdown.

We hope that there will be a quick resolution to this crisis and we
thank you for your continued patronage.

Looks like the government will not be shutting down (today):

Budget bill passes Senate, goes to House for approval

April 8th, 2011

The Senate has passed a short-term budget deal that will keep the government funded through next Thursday. The measure still has to be approved by the House of Representatives.....
