Drug Shortages

I know a cancer patient who has had trouble getting a couple of maintenance medications lately. These are old generic drugs. One was manufactured in India. Several pharmacies said there are shortages of drugs right now. I talked to a doctor today who said she is aware of shortages. Hopefully this won't get worse. My friend managed to get a supply of one med and the other may turn up soon.

I have heard from a friend, a pharmacist, in New Zealand that they are now only supplying one month of tablets, as opposed to the three months that they used to, because of shortages of drugs. They also mentioned manufacturing in India being a pinch point in the supply chain.
 
I saw a prayer request on a forum a few days ago from Nagercoil for a woman who had had a massive stroke but couldn't get into a hospital for days due to the COVID situation. Things must be rough there.
