Increase in number of Covid-19 confirmed cases in DRC

• Over the past three days, the number of cases confirmed at Covid-19 has dropped from 267 to 327, a difference of 60;

• This increase is justified by the strengthening of epidemiological surveillance across the country and also surveillance in the commune of Gombe following confinement;

• It results in the high number of tests at the laboratory level which currently exceeds 200 daily samples;

• In fact, the commune of Gombe has been under confinement since April 06, 2020. In total, the commune of Gombe has 77 cases confirmed until April 16, 2020, including 24 cases recorded during confinement with an accumulation of contacts taken from 514 and 473 contacts followed.
