[FONT=arial (arabic)]مع انتهاء الشتاء الماضي بدأت تهدأ إصابات إنفلونزا الطيور بين الدواجن في مصر سواء في المزارع أو القطاع الريفي في مصر وزادت الآمال في تحجيم المرض لكن في هذا الشتاء كشر فيروس انفلونزا الطيور عن أنيابه حيث بدأت تظهر بعض الإصابات وإن كانت أقل ضراوة إلا أن معظمها كان إصابات لأطفال أقل من‏3‏ سنوات كما تشير الإحصاءات إلي أن ثلاثة أرباع الوفيات حتي الآن من الإناث‏,‏ وهذا مؤشر خطير‏,‏ كما أشارت تقارير منظمة الصحة العالمية التي تبين أن عدد الإصابات المكتشفة في مصر حتي الآن والمعلن عنها‏66‏ حالة توفي من بينها‏23‏ حالة[/FONT]​

[FONT=arial (arabic)]وحول وضع إنفلونزا الطيور في مصر وكيفية مواجهته والنواحي الإيجابية والسلبية في الحملات المصرية ووضعنا عالميا يقول الدكتور أحمد السنوسي عالم الفيروسات ووكيل كلية الطب البيطري بجامعة القاهرة إن إنفلونزا الطيور سواء كان في الحيوان أو الإنسان أو الطيور ينشط في فصل الشتاء‏,‏ أما بالنسبة لإنفلونزا الطيور نظرا لتوطنه داخل مصر خاصة في القطاع الريفي فقد أصبح الفيروس موجودا في مجموعات مختلفة ومتعددة من الطيور خاصة المائية وعلي رأسها البط لأنه تستمر معه عمليات التكاثر الفيروسي بالخلايا العمودية الطلائية المبطنة لجدار الأمعاء الدقيقة ومن ثم تحدث عمليات تغيير وتطفر في التركيب الوراثي للفيروس وهو يحدث إن أردنا أو لم نرد وتستمر عمليات التكاثر وتنشأ صور مختلفة من الفيروس ربما تكون أكثر ضراوة عند إصابة الإنسان أو الطيور‏,‏ ولذا يعد أفضل سبيل لإيقاف هذه العملية البيولوجية الطبيعية التحصين للوز والبط وباقي الطيور الأخري سواء في المزارع أو في القطاع الأهلي والتربية الريفية المنزلية‏,‏ وبرغم توافر التحصينات مجانا للتربية الريفية إلا انه مازال يوجد بعض القصور‏,‏ فالتحصينات تحتاج لدعم أكبر من الدولة لعدم وجود الجرعات الكافية من اللقاحات الواقية‏,‏ كما أن جميع الموجود مستورد‏,‏ ولايزال الإنتاج المحلي في المهد لأن معهد البحوث والأمصال البيطرية في العباسية بدأ فعلا في الإنتاج المحلي من سلالة‏H5N2‏ ويجري حاليا عملية اختبار جودتها‏,‏ وعند تخطيها هذه المرحلة قريبا جدا‏,‏ سيتم طرحها في السوق وستكون أرخص فسيتم إنتاج نحو‏200‏ مليون جرعة ومع الدعم يمكن مضاعفتها حيث يتطلب القطاع الريفي وحده نحو مليار جرعة سنويا لتحصين الطيور‏3‏ مرات في السنة‏,‏ وللعلم لاتزيد تكلفة المرة عن‏25‏ قرشا‏,‏ وتتم مجانا والمطلوب تجاوب المربين‏,‏ وهناك مشروع آخر في المصل واللقاح بالدقي‏'‏ فاكسيرا‏'‏ لإنتاج نحو ربع مليار جرعة أخري لكن مازال أمام الإنتاج عدة أشهر‏.‏[/FONT]​
