PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) _ A Providence school is dealing with an outbreak of flu-like symptoms among students and staff.
La Salle Academy Principal Dan Kavanaugh told WPRI-TV that 175 students were absent on Friday. Many of them returned on Monday, but more than 100 were still out sick as were about 10 staff members at the Catholic prep school.
Kavanaugh said at least six students with more severe symptoms will be tested for the H1N1 strain. He said there are no current plans to cancel any major activities at the school.
