Officials at the Pennsauken Intermediate School sent home a letter to parents telling them about numerous students who have become ill.

The letter explained that over the past several days, approximately 50 students have been absent from school.

The symptoms the students have been experiencing include fever, headache and upset stomach.

The Pennsauken School District is asking students to stay home at least seven days after the on-set of the symptoms and to stay out of school until they feel better.

School officials said maintenance workers will continue their sanitation of the school throughout the weekend.

A dance and some extracurricular activities at the school were canceled as a precaution.

Re: Dozens Of Students Fall Ill At Pennsauken School

I wonder if we'll see a slowing of the spread due to schools being out for the summer?
