Doctors go on strike in hospitals in 18 Argentine provinces

Last midnight began a strike in most of argentina, affecting 200 hospitals and 500 health facilities. In Buenos Aires and Cordoba province, attention is normal.
The Trade Unions Federation of Health Professionals from Argentina (FESPROSA) reported that
?The strike is against the reduction investment on the health budget for 2010 planed by the government and in demand of a wage increase.
They also indicated that ?despite having gone through two epidemics, dengue and swine flu, only 36 percent of this year?s health budget was effectively spent.
The strike will affect 77 hospitals of Buenos Aires province, including nurses, petty officers and administrative staff, members of the Association of State Employees.
