The Health Secretariat of Bogot? denied that the death of a student in the school district Class Rome, located in Kennedy, has been caused by influenza type AH1N1.
The health secretary, Hector Zambrano, reported that less than 12 years of age died of a "stationary influenza."
"A simple cold is quite careful especially when there are recurrent fevers and chest pain that can become a respiratory illness that can cause death," warned the official.
Colombia is estimated that about 7 thousand people die each year from acute respiratory diseases.
At school there were classes Class Rome this Monday morning to advance a prevention and information day, after the death of a sixth grade student.
