Health authorities have detained an Egyptian port Salloum returnees from Libya to the emergence of symptoms, it is similar to the symptoms of avian flu, and another person were detained al-Sadr Hospital Matruh after the onset of symptoms.

here they detained Ismail Abdul Ghani Ismail (46 years) working poultry farm in Libya in quarantine for treatment while awaiting the results immediately after entering the port Salloum, from Libya and the emergence of symptoms of the disease.

How often does the Egyptian MOH provide updates on stories like this? Did the younger fellow travel from Libya with the older poultry worker? It would be of interest to find out, but being subject to the nuances of translations and local information management I guess we're lucky to get the occasional hint of avian flu human cases.
But it does appear that these 'occasional' cases have become much more frequent during the past year, and widened from Egypt to Sudan and Libya. Surely there must be cases in Italy and Turkey due to the movement of so many desperate migrants from North Africa travelling through the region. It'd surprise me if we didn't hear of more confirmed human H5N1 cases in Europe and the wider MidEast and Africa soon.
