[h=3]Abstract[/h] We describe the case of an immunocompromised patient, positive for influenza A virus (H3N2), in whom the neuraminidase R292K mutation was transiently detected during oseltamivir treatment. The R292K mutation was identified by direct testing in three of eleven respiratory specimens collected throughout the patient's illness, but in none of the cultures from those specimens.
