Department of Animal Health would like to report on avian influenza, foot and mouth disease progress cattle and swine blue ear translated as follows:

I. SITUATION OF SERVICES

1. Avian

Ca Mau: On June 2, 2010, avian influenza has occurred on the Forum of 01 ducks in households Hamlet 4, An Xuyen, Ca Mau City. Total ducks were killed and destroyed the 482 children. Animal Health Agency Region VII answered positive to the virus H5N1. Thus, from the first outbreak (on December 31, 2009), avian influenza has occurred in 8 communes in 03 districts and cities of the province of Ca Mau. Total poultry destroyed as 1439 chickens, ducks 4891 and 1999 thousands of children.

Quang Tri: On February 1, 2010, avian influenza has occurred on the 2001 Forum ducks rural households in An Cu, Trieu Phuong, Trieu Phong. Total ducks destroyed 400 children. Currently, Sub-Department of Animal Health with the local authorities are taking measures prevention services as prescribed.

Currently, both countries 06 provinces including Ca Mau, Ha Tinh, Dien Bien, Soc Trang, Kon Tum and Quang Tri with avian influenza has 21 days.
