The Ministry of Health of the Federal District reported that so far this year there have been no deaths from influenza H1N1 in Mexico City.
He said the Health Alert semaphore remains green, however urged the capital city to remain vigilant and comply with recommendations for preventing respiratory disease and its complications.
In the capital, he said, and concluded the Campaign of Vaccination against seasonal influenza, with the application of 748,603 doses.
He said that according to the records of seasonal influenza in the winter period 2009-2010 there were 986 cases and in the same period of 2010-2011, reported 315 cases, of which 51 were influenza A, 63 influenza B, six of H1N1, H3N2 195.
This, he said, reflecting a decline of 30 percent in the number of cases of seasonal influenza, being the most affected group of children under five years and older.
He added that during the last week there were three influenza-like illness revenue in the hospitals of the Federal District.
From January to March 2011, the Health System of Mexico City, composed of public and private institutions, there has been no deaths from influenza H1N1, he said.
