Dengue count rises to 340; 30 patients daily
Sandeep Dua, TNN | Sep 5, 2011, 12.45PM IST

LUDHIANA: The dengue count has gone beyond 340 in city hospitals with about 25 to 30 patients being admitted with the symptoms of the disease every day. More than 200 patients are from the city alone. Even the posh localities are not exempted from the dengue attack. Residents believe the health department is not concerned to incorporate adequate measures to avoid the disease from spreading but is busy manipulating the dengue count.

About 8 to 10 patients from the city alone are admitted at the hospitals every day with symptoms of dengue. The reports of 11-month-old Rajat Aggarwal, a resident of Neemwala Chowk, and Neha, 4, a resident of Miller Ganj, were latest to be found positive for dengue.
