Two swine flu deaths reported in Delhi
A 50-year-old man was admitted in the hospital on January 6 and died the next day. Another 25-year-old man was admitted on January 11 and died on January 15, the hospital said.

Dr Ram Manohar Lohia (RML) hospital has received 24 suspected cases of H1N1 virus in January so far.
At least two people suffering from suspected swine flu died at Dr Ram Manohar Lohia (RML) hospital last week, the hospital administration has said.

The centre-run hospital has received 24 suspected cases of H1N1 virus in January so far. A 50-year-old man was admitted in the hospital on January 6 and died the next day. Another 25-year-old man was admitted on January 11 and died on January 15, the hospital said.

?Both patients who came to the hospital with multiple illness and swine flu have passed away,? confirmed Smriti Tiwari, spokesperson, RML hospital. The hospital will send the reports to the National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) for confirmation.

After hospitals in New Delhi said that five people have died of swine flu, it has now been confirmed that the number of suspected swine flu cases are on the rise in the city.

The AIIMS, Safdarjung and Ram Manohar Lohia hospitals have reported 10 swine flu positive cases. Private hospitals such as Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, BLK Super Speciality Hospital and Fortis Healthcare have also confirmed the rise of the "similar trend".

Last week, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Amit Shah was admitted to the AIIMS in New Delhi for treatment of swine flu.

New Delhi, JNN Swine flu (H1N1) infection in Delhi NCR is increasing rapidly. In Delhi, 440 cases of swine flu have been confirmed this month. Directorate General of Delhi's Health Services has instructed to send daily reports to the hospitals. Doctors say that despite the increase in swine flu infection, there is no need to panic. Show the doctor immediately after the fever and colds occur.

BJP president Amit Shah was hit by swine flu

Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) president Amit Shah had also come in the grip of swine flu in the past. Amit Shah was admitted to Delhi-based All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), where he got treatment.

Dr. Nutan Mundeja, Director General of Delhi said that the patient does not have much trouble if the treatment of swine flu is done in the beginning. Trouble can delay the treatment. Every fever is not swine flu. In the winter season, cases of common flu are seen every year. Hospitals have been instructed to recruit patients suffering from swine flu in isolation ward. N-95 masks have been provided to the employees in hospitals.

Nine patient deaths in two hospitals

The National Disease Control Center had confirmed 168 cases of swine flu by January 13 in Delhi. This number has increased to 440. In Delhi, two major hospitals have also reported cases of death of nine patients this month from swine flu. In RML hospital alone, so far six patients suffering from this disease have died. All of them were from Delhi. Four of them were men and two women. Apart from this, three patients have died in Safdarjung Hospital.

These three were residents of different cities of NCR. However, the Directorate has denied the death of a patient due to swine flu in Delhi.

In cold weather, cases of cold cough and flu are often exposed. Doctors say that swine flu viruses spread through coughing, sneezing, hand joining, etc. Therefore, avoid being left unnecessarily in the crowded areas for rescue. If necessary, wear a mask and go to the market and the metro.

Dr Tanuja Nassari, director of the All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA), said that there is an effective treatment of swine flu in Ayurveda also. By adopting Ayurvedic and home remedies, sore throat and pulmonary infection can be avoided. Dr. Nutan Mundeja, Director General, Health Directorate of Delhi, said that the risk of disease, diabetes, blood pressure, patients suffering from chronic diseases of chronic diseases, elderly, children and pregnant women are more.

Flu vaccine also available

Vaccination is also available for flu prevention. Prior to winter, the elderly should take this vaccine every year. Doctors say that the swine flu infection has spread now. Therefore vaccination will not be of special benefit, since it takes time to develop immunity in the body after getting vaccine.

Two patients of Swine Flu

On Monday, there were two swine flu patients. The number of swine flu patients has increased to 28 in the district. Whereas 28 patients have been found who are from other cities and were coming for treatment in Gurujram. Civil surgeon Dr. BK Rajaura said that samples of patients were sent to the National Center for Disease Control and both the patients were taking treatment at the private hospital.

Swine flu is spreading rapidly in the capital Delhi. According to statistics, swine flu has been confirmed in 440 people in the capital between January 1 and 28. In two hospitals in the central government, 10 deaths have occurred in the last 28 days due to this. However, the Health Directorate of Delhi says that these patients are not residents of Delhi.

They need the vaccine

The report has been released by the Integrated Disease Surveillance Programme, under the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

New Delhi: There is an alarming rise in the number of swine flu cases in the national capital, which has seen over 500 cases being reported from various hospitals in the city over the past one month.Till January 28, a total of 18 people have been reported to have died in the city from the H1N1 influenza, also known as swine flu.

A 35-year-old became the youngest to have succumbed to the infectious respiratory disease at Safdarjung Hospital, hospital sources said.

Delhi health dept panel examining 'swine flu' deaths reported by hospitals: Official



New Delhi, Feb 1 A panel of the city's health department is examining the swine flu death cases reported by various hospitals, to ascertain if H1N1 infection was the cause of fatalities, a senior official said.

Meanwhile, 43 fresh cases have been reported in the national capital, taking the total number of cases to 660 for the month of January, he said.

While 13 deaths due to swine flu have been reported at two Centre-run hospitals here this year, but the Delhi health department has not made public any fatality due to it yet.

"A committee under the health department is examining the cases, if the deaths were caused by swine flu. The report will come out by Monday or Tuesday, so we will get a clear picture," the official told .

Swine flu gives Capital a scare as count reaches 1K

Around 1,011 cases of Seasonal Influenza H1N1 have been reported in Delhi so far making the number to be the second highest in the country after Rajasthan, suggested the latest data released by National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Monday.

New Delhi, February 6: The death toll due to swine flu in Delhi has risen to six, even as 74 fresh cases of the HINI virus were recorded here on Wednesday, taking the total number of people affected by the disease in the city this year to 1,093, according to a report of the Directorate General of Health Services. The report also mentioned deaths of five more persons from co-morbidity, who had H1N1 infection.

As per the report, of the six persons who have died of swine flu this year, one belonged to Delhi, while the rest five were residents of other cities, the report said.
