Police are investigating the deaths of 5-month-old twins whose bodies were found Thursday morning in their Southwest Side Little Village neighborhood home.
The twin infants were found unresponsive in a home in the 4100 block of West 25th Street at 9:30 a.m., according to Chicago police spokesman Veejay Zala.
The deceased, a boy and girl, were identified as Julian and Giselle Romero by the Cook County Medical Examiner?s office.
Police are investigating the possibility that both twins died from Sudden Infant Death Syndrome, but an autopsy was not expected to be performed until Friday.

CHICAGO (CBS) ? A police death investigation was under way Thursday afternoon after 6-month-old twins were found dead at a home in the Little Village neighborhood. Police said the twins were found dead inside a residence of the 4100 block of West 25th Street around 9:30 a.m. The babies were pronounced dead at the scene and autopsies were scheduled for Friday.
