With two more persons succumbing to H1N1 virus today, the toll in Madhya Pradesh due to swine flu has gone up to 30 since the outbreak of influenza this season, official sources said.

Besides, nine more patients were tested positive for H1N1 virus today, taking the number swine flu cases to 114 in the state, they said.

In Indore division, a total of 13 persons succumbed to the dreaded virus followed by Bhopal where the toll was 10. Jabalpur recorded six deaths, while one person died in Gwalior, they said.

Following spurt in the number of H1N1 cases, the health department has now authorised more private hospitals to treat swine flu.
