Italian report : city-deaths from all causes until week12 (Mar21) , translated to English
http://magictour.free.fr/sismg-12.pdf

Article in "Eco di Bergamo" Mar 26,
weekly deaths in Bergamo City
March 2020 : 64(Feb),95,296,313 (normal is 49)

also http://magictour.free.fr/bergamo4.jpg , Mar1-Mar22 Lombardy-Provinces

also there was a later tweet listing data from other cities in Bergamo-province
which showed a similar increase

I calculate ~0.5%-1% additional deaths in such a COVID wave with measures
as effective as in Bergamo (lockdown since Mar08 , first cases detected Feb20)

that would give 1.5-3 million deaths in USA for this wave if they can't stop it.

INSEE publishes daily deaths from 100 departments from France in computer-readable form :

https://www.insee.fr/fr/information/4470857
https://t.co/jdK1qpGC88?amp=1
https://www.insee.fr/fr/statistiques...tement_csv.zip

70% increase in week12 in Haut-Rhin , they are early into the wave

------------------------------

unfortunately the USA-weekly-mortality from 122 cities was discontinued some years ago
are they doing something else now to report deaths from all causes
during this COVID-wave ?

they give daily deaths from all causes for NYC, estimated by the fire-department,
(which transports the dead bodies ?)
I'm looking for the official NYC-website that has these daily numbers

can somone help to find it ?

we need it to decide whether the measures can be lifted after Easter,
whether NYC should be quarantined, what other cities should do

-----------------------------
But another 200 city residents are now dying at home each day, compared
to 20 to 25 such deaths before the pandemic, said Aja Worthy-Davis,
a spokeswoman for the medical examiner’s office.
# "dying at home" could be increased because of the measures, we should take all deaths instead
That number has been steadily increasing since March 30th, with 241 New Yorkers
dying at home Sunday — more than the number of confirmed COVID-19 deaths that
occurred citywide that day. On Monday night, the city reported 266 new deaths,
suggesting the possibility of a 40% undercount of coronavirus-related deaths.
# this may well go up to >100% in 1-2 weeks as in Torino,Milan,Genova or
even 500% as in Bergamo,Brescia

NYC COVID-data is here:
https://www1.nyc.gov/site/doh/covid/covid-19-data.page

but we need deaths from all causes

https://en.wikipedia.org/api/rest_v...en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_Yo..._Bureau_of_EMS
increased calls from cardiac arrests

thanks. I knew that from our flu-tracking, years ago. I didn't remember that they had
data for US-States, maybe it's new.

For NYC I get
pneumonia deaths, 94,104,150
all deaths, 1077,1087,1257
for weeks 10,11,12

that's only 16% increase in week 12 (ending March 21)
7.5% _decrease_ in Washington State

today is Friday ... I'll check for week 13 tomorrow
