<!-- sphereit start --><!-- P2P_LIVE_EDIT "content_item_body_preview" START -->A 46-year-old Polk County woman and a 53-year-old Volusia County woman were among the latest swine flu-related deaths, state officials confirmed today.
Deaths were also reported in Alachua, Charlotte, Miami-Dade, Duval, Highlands, Pinellas County, Sarasota County, and St. Lucie counties. To date, there have been 87 laboratory confirmed swine flu deaths in Florida.
"H1N1 Swine Flu, like seasonal flu, can in some circumstances be very serious, therefore, all of us should continue to adhere to good health practices including, stay home if sick, cover cough and sneeze, and wash hands frequently," said state Surgeon General Dr. Ana Viamonte Ros.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has reported that clinical trials for the H1N1 (swine flu) vaccine for healthy adults are going well with no adverse side effects among those tested. The CDC and Health and Human Services recently announced that healthy adults will require just one dose of the vaccine when it becomes available in mid-October.<!-- P2P_LIVE_EDIT "content_item_body_preview" END --> :tiphat:http://www.orlandosentinel.com/orl-bk-swine-flu-deaths-091609,0,585091.story?track=rss<!-- sphereit end -->
