Bird flu is confirmed in Lovesice Přerov

[FONT=&quot]Prague - Veterinarians confirmed the first outbreak of bird flu in the Olomouc region. It is a Lově?ice to Prerov. Bred there has roughly 150 to 200 hens and 15 pieces of water fowl. Yet he died about 35 hens, the other birds are seen signs of infection. Breeding will be discharged today around noon, then declare a protection and surveillance zone, he told ČTK spokesman for the State Veterinary Administration (SVS) Petr Pejchal. This center is the ninth outbreak of the disease in the country.[/FONT]

[FONT=&quot]"Breeder announced Friday gradual dieback poultry within two days," said Pejchal. Investigations then confirmed the H5 subtype of the disease.[/FONT]

[FONT=&quot]In Olomouc previously found veterinarians bird flu in dead wild swans. Regarding wild birds, focus or surveillance zone will not be announced.[/FONT]

[FONT=&quot]Bird flu in the Czech Republic emerged at the beginning of this year, after about ten years. In the Czech Republic in farms currently nine outbreaks were confirmed and mortality in wild birds, except Olomouc also in Prague, Nachod or in Hradec Kralove. Four outbreaks are in southern Moravia, one of them in the Central Region and three in South Bohemia.[/FONT]

[FONT=&quot]Breeders can get from the state for compensation discharged pieces, but must request it within six weeks the animals are killed. Due to infection pays fairs birds, birds commercial breeders must be free range, or face a fine of up to two million people.[/FONT]

[FONT=&quot]In neighbouring Slovakia veterinarians from the end of last year confirmed bird flu in 19 cases. [/FONT]
