Czech Republic - Covid-19 : 32,413 cases, 448 deaths

There were 52 more Covid-19 patients recorded in the Czech Republic on Friday, a six-day low. The daily increase has remained below 80 since May 18.

There are 9,942 known cases, with the largest numbers of new outbreaks in Prague and in the Moravian-Silesian region. To date, about two-thirds of people infected have recovered from the novel coronavirus while 328 have died.

PRAGUE (Reuters) - The Czech Republic recorded 168 new cases of the coronavirus on Friday, authorities said, the highest daily rise in cases since early April just as the country is starting the two-month summer holiday season.

It was also the fourth day of the last 10 showing a daily increase of more than 100. Over the past week, the eastern region of Karvina has been by far the most affected by the rise in cases, according to the Health Ministry website.

As of this morning, here have been 13,238 confirmed COVID-19 cases in the Czech Republic since the beginning of the outbreak in mid-March.

Over that period, there have been a total of 353 COVID-19-related deaths and 8,373 confirmed recoveries, leaving a total of 4,512 known active cases in the country. A total of 132 of those cases are being treated in hospitals, with 15 considered to be in serious condition.

More than 8,500 people have recovered from the novel coronavirus since the pandemic began. There have been 355 deaths in the country and there are 4,613 known active cases in the country. A total of 135 of those patients are being treated in hospitals.

The Czech Republic has recorded 14,324 cases of the new coronavirus and 360 deaths - a fraction of the worst-hit European nations - but it has seen a resurgence of new cases in the past weeks.

PRAGUE, Aug 5 (Reuters) - The Czech Republic reported its biggest daily jump in new coronavirus cases since the end of June on Wednesday as a recent uptick in infections persisted.

The central European country of 10.7 million recorded 290 new cases on Tuesday, Health Ministry data showed, bringing the total number of cases detected to 17,286. Of those, 11,812 have recovered and 383 have died of COVID-19.
