CSL to Retrieve Kids? Swine Flu Vaccine After Halving Shelf Life

Aug. 26 (Bloomberg) -- CSL Ltd., the only flu vaccine
manufacturer in the Southern Hemisphere, is recalling all
remaining supplies in Australia of its Panvax Junior swine flu
shot for children after cutting the product?s shelf life.
Unused doses can be considered expired after the shelf life
was reduced to 6 months from 12 months, Melbourne-based CSL said
in a statement on its website today. CSL cited a decline in the
potency of the vaccine for the recommendation.
