Croatia identifies its first H1N1 case

ZAGREB, June 15 (Reuters) - Croatia identified the first case of H1N1 flu virus in a patient who came from abroad last week, the health ministry said on Monday.

"The patient showed mild flu symptoms and the test, the results of which we received today, confirmed the H1N1 virus.

The patient underwent treatment and made a full recovery. He has already returned to work, Health Minister Darko Milinovic told reporters.

ZAGREB, June 15 (Reuters) - Croatia said on Monday its first case of the H1N1 flu virus, reported earlier in the day in a patient who came from abroad last week, was wrongly confirmed.

"Due to a mistake in a laboratory in London, we received a wrong confirmation. Now I have a written apology saying that the test on the virus was negative," Health Minister Darko Milinovic told state television.

Earlier on Monday Milinovic said that a patient who had been diagnosed with the H1N1 virus had recovered and was back at work.

He also said that local tests had found no trace of the virus, but the announcement was made public after a laboratory in London confirmed the H1N1 virus was present.

"However, we were sent wrong documentation," Milinovic said.

Milinovic said that medical authorities would be on high alert in the coming months during the peak tourist season which usually brought large numbers of foreign travellers. (Reporting by Igor Ilic, edited by Richard Balmforth)

Zagreb - Croatia on Monday reported its first case of swine flu - a man who allegedly cured himself without medication. Health Minister Darko Milinovic told reporters in Zagreb that the man, who recently returned from abroad, cured himself in home quarantine without medication. Milinovic added that the man's results were sent to London and that it was confirmed that he was infected with virus A. "Tee, lemon and the bathroom were quite enough," for the man to get better, Milinovic said. The man had a mild case of swine flu and that no one in his family was infected. Croatian authorities did not say the man's age, nor from which country he had come. The World Health Organization earlier this month declared a swine flu pandemic. <!-- google_ad_section_end -->

Speaking in a mode of "tea, lemon, and baths" as it is enaugh for such an illness, is misleading for the audience,
when it is known almost all the non-light cases must be cured by antivirals early, to deminish harsh or serious outcomes.

Maybe the "lemon" was enaugh because there was not a case of pandemic flu (if exists writen confirmations of a mistake):
