Covid: First UK death recorded with Omicron variant

At least one person in the UK has died with the Omicron coronavirus variant, the prime minister has said.

Boris Johnson said the new variant was also resulting in hospital admissions and the "best thing" people could do was get their booster jab.

Visiting a vaccination clinic in London, he said people should set aside the idea Omicron was a milder variant...

I am not trying to be too picky, and I am in no way downplaying the significance of COVID or the Omicron variant... but I find the wording a little interesting. I watched the video of Boris Johnson and he does say, "died with the Omicorn coronavirus variant" and not "died OF covid and had the omicron variant." Again, it may be just the way it is worded in England, but I found it curious. Sort of like men who die at an old age usually die "with prostate cancer" but not necessarily "OF prostate cancer."
