The UK has recorded 55,892 coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours - the highest figure on record.

Tuesday's figure of 53,135 cases was the previous highest since the pandemic began.

... Public Health England's medical director Dr Yvonne Doyle made a passionate plea in response to the latest figures urging everyone not to go out to celebrate New Year's Eve.
She said that the rise in cases had been particularly acute among adults in their 20s and 30s.

where to get regional UK timeseries of cases and deaths ?

We need to see how big the b117 waves grow, how many fatalities, the age-structure

This can currently best be done by distinguishing the regions

the dashboard at
https://coronavirus.data.gov.uk/details/cases

has cases daily by 4 nations
incidence last 7days for 9 regions, 214 upper tiers , 380 lower tiers
but no archive, it must be regularly collected to do time-series, to see how it goes

hospitalisation daily timeseries by 4 nations
deaths daily timeseries by 4 nations

deaths last 28 days by nations regions upper tiers lower tiers

they do have the all the data since August in their archive, but they allow only one
value per download
https://coronavirus.data.gov.uk/details/download

OK, I saved cases and deaths for 400 regions on Dec.31 but need regular updates,
say once per week. Who helps to download+collect the data ?

the world needs to know, what is coming .... we will probably all get, what Kent,London gets first

Do you need all 400 regions? Maybe a select few regions will give a sample size large enough to develop a set of assumptions.

few or all is the same work ; copy and paste. For a b117-statistics (i.e.virulence) it's better to have much data (IMO)
B117 infects more of those <20 and deaths in UK are not (yet) going up.

othen than in South Afrika, Namibia, Swaziland, where deaths went up already when cases went up.

I've tried to get old data with https://archive.org/ , but it doesn't load in my browser.
