County-By-County: Oklahoma H1N1 Vaccine Plans

This is information gathered in the KOCO newsroom about the H1N1 nasal mist vaccine, county by county across Oklahoma:
Pottawatomie County -- 350 doses total. They will be given to South Rock Creek students from 4-7 p.m. on Oct. 12. All other H1N1 clinics will be determined as more vaccines become available.
Logan County -- They have 200 doses. Parents can bring children from Pre-K to the 12th grade to the county health department on Thursday through the fall break. Parental consent is required. Seasonal flu shots will be given starting on Monday.
Canadian County -- They have 500 doses, and officials are targeting Pre-K through the 12th grade. Parents can bring students to either the El Reno or Yukon offices to get an H1N1 shot.
Grady County -- H1N1 shots will be distributed through the schools. Officials will start with the school that has the highest absentee rate and then continue to the next school.
Kay County -- 300 doses. Flu clinics started Tuesday in Ponca City and will continue on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. for both seasonal flu shots and the H1N1 vaccine. At this time, H1N1 vaccines are only for healthy school-age children from 5 to 19. This will change as more doses come in. There will be no clinic in Blackwell until Oct. 16 at a special clinic inside a Kay Electric building. After that, the normal clinic will be held on Mondays.
Payne County -- Mondays and Fridays from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. in Stillwater. The first clinic in Cushing will be held on Oct. 16 and then continue on Fridays. The policy in Payne County is the same as for Kay County.
Noble County -- Perry's first clinic will be held on Oct. 14. After that, clinics will be held from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursdays. Noble County's vaccination policy will be the same as Kay County's.
