City's Catholic Diocese Lifts Swine Flu-Related Restrictions

CORPUS CHRISTI - The Catholic Diocese of Corpus Christi has lifted the restrictions that had been put in place because of the swine flu scare.
In April, Bishop Edmond Carmody issued restrictions that included Holy Communion be given in the hand, not on the tongue.
The chalice was not be shared with parishioners during mass, and parishioners were not to hold hands during the Our Father as is customary. Also, to avoid touching when exchanging the sign of peace.
Those restrictions have been lifted as of Friday
