India's hospitals are currently short of doctors, medical equipment and ICU beds, with authorities struggling to cope with an unprecedented health crisis. A surge in COVID-19 cases has overwhelmed the health system.

Coronavirus: Germany gives India millions in aid, thousands of testing kits

Germany's Development Ministry has said it is providing India with "one of the largest coronavirus support measures in the world." The aid includes 330,000 testing kits and short-term loans worth €460 million.

... The Development Ministry is also providing short-term loans to India worth €460 million ($544 million).
