NEW YORK (CBSNewYork/AP) ? As officials across the United States prepare for the possibility of an Ebola outbreak, Connecticut Gov. Dannel Malloy has authorized the state?s public health commissioner to quarantine anyone who has been exposed to the deadly virus.

The governor signed the order Tuesday, his office said. The move is precautionary, and no specific case of the disease has been identified in the state.

?We are taking this action today to ensure that we are prepared, in advance, to deal with any identified cases in which someone has been exposed to the virus or, worst case, infected,? Malloy said in a news release. ?Our state?s hospitals have been preparing for it, and public health officials from the state are working around the clock to monitor the situation...
