Confirmed/Suspected US states with H5 in 2006/2007

USDA,

Is there any news yet on the Delaware samples?

Re: Confirmed/Suspected US states with H5

I'm not aware of any news. The Delaware Advisory Council on Fish and Wildlife published the minutes of their October meeting stating that test results revealed no H5N1. This of course is in conflict with the USDA published table that indicates that H5 and N1 were detected and they are awaiting (and awaiting and awaiting) confirmatory test results.

The minutes to the November 28th meeting of the Delaware Advisory Council has yet to be published, so I do not know if the issue was discussed further. It really does make one wonder what is up since testing is only a two to three week endeavor. We are now approaching the eighth week since initial detection and reporting to the public.
