Confirmed presence of H1N1 virus in the Dominican Republic

SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic, may 7 (UPI) - the virus of H1N1 flu is present in Dominican, according to confirmed the Minister of public health, who called to pregnant them to be vaccinated free of charge in hospitals.

In addition, Dr. Bautista Rojas G?mez, reported that the epidemiological surveillance system remains on alert and taking preventive measures before the emergence of diseases after the rainy season.

Said that pregnant women can go to hospitals and vaccination centers to get free the vaccine against the H1N1 virus, and assured that the portfolio has enough doses to immunize them.
