Confirmed case of swine flu in Leitrim

IT IS understood that at least one Leitrim person is in a serious condition with the Swine Flu virus which has surged across the country since the New Year.
Both Sligo and Cavan General Hospitals encountered a huge increase in the number of patients requiring treatment for seasonal and swine flu over the past two weeks.

Although the HSE and the Health Protection Surveillance Centre HPSC will not give a breakdown of swine flu cases in the region or on individual cases, it is understood that one Leitrim person is in a serious condition in hospital with the virus.
