[h=3]Abstract[/h] Influenza antigen detection assays (Sofia FIA and Veritor) yield objective results, which are potentially useful for point-of-care testing. Assays were evaluated with RT-PCR using 411 nasopharyngeal swab specimens. Sensitivity and specificity (%) of 79.0/99.0 and 64.0/99.4 for influenza/A and 92.9/96.7 and 78.6/98.7 for influenza/B were obtained for Sofia and Veritor, respectively.
