, this is not a good look. This is a clear step in the wrong direction for data sharing and open collaboration.
Important update: I cannot access GlSAlD anymore. And it seems that my coauthors cannot either.

Very wrong. Very bad for the future of GISAID. As a GISAID data submitter, I’m shocked & nauseated to see the organization behave this way. It’s an abuse of its own stated mission and principles. It’s also a betrayal of the compact of trust between GISAID & the global community.
