Sheriff’s deputies arrested eight people on outstanding warrants as the Weld County Regional SWAT team and the Greeley SWAT team executed a search warrant that shut down U.S. 85 between Evans and LaSalle for nearly three hours on Tuesday, Aug. 20, according to a press release.
The sheriff’s office released more details about the eight suspects:

Investigators contacted just under 20 people during the course of the investigation, taking eight into custody, according to the release.
:magnify: The Weld County Sheriff’s Office strike team, detentions and patrol divisions, Homeland Security Investigations, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, as well as K-9 units associated with the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office also helped with the search.
The sheriff’s office said no further information will be released about the arrests, citing the active investigation.
