Zika virus disease
From the beginning of the epidemic phase in the country (week
Epidemiologic 40, 2015) until the epidemiological week 12
2016 have been reported 2,603 confirmed cases and 58,790
clinical suspects, of which 51,850 are from 309
municipalities have already been confirmed laboratory cases and 6
940 came from 401 municipalities where there are still cases
confirmed.
In the epidemiological week 12 of 2016, 242 cases were reported
2,313 new confirmed and suspected by clinical (of
municipalities with and without laboratory-confirmed cases). From the total
of cases, 1,193 correspond to the epidemiological week 12 and

Summing the confirmed and suspected cases,
